Jan 14 7:00pm - 8:30pm

A filmic collaboration between writer/director Alex Harvey and Banana Bag&Bodice, Space//Space will be presented as a part of the winter program at New York City’s preeminent home of experimental cinema, the Anthology Film Archives.

Anthology Film Archives is an international center for the preservation, study and exhibition of film and video with a particular focus on American independent and avant-garde cinema. Opening on November 30, 1970, at Joseph Papp’s Public Theater, Anthology has a longstanding relationship with the theater world, whether by working with companies using film as source material for the stage, admiring and showcasing companies for their ongoing work in the art of theater, or presenting theater companies delving into creating film themselves.

Fueled by the conviction that the index of a culture’s health and vibrancy lies largely in its margins, in those works of art that are created outside the commercial mainstream, Anthology strives to advance the cause and protect the heritage of a kind of cinema that is in particular danger of being lost, overlooked, or ignored.
